L'histoire d'une vie, en douceur, d'un sentiment précieux, mystérieux mais touchant. Une prose magnifique, un joyau de littérature, concis et léger mais précieux telle la soie. "C'est une souffrance étrange. Doucement. Mourir de nostalgie pour quelque chose que tu ne vivras jamais."

Every word of this 91 page novel is so carefully thought out. Beautifully written and infinitely sad, it is reminiscent of a folk tale or fable, and like any good fable, it ends justly. I would like to explore other works by this Italian author.

You have to read this in one setting, uninterrupted, in...

Well, nice try but repetition on a 57 page short novella is not adding any stylistic merit to an otherwise not very believable story.

A gorgeous little book. The prose is simple, lyrical and beautiful. It only took an hour to read, but I was completely absorbed.

A novella translated from Italian in abrupt sentences, with a degree of repetition that makes it a little like a poetic fairy tale. Charming and beautiful, but in a very obvious way.

Simple, yet incredibly beautiful, passionate and powerful. I loved the cadence of the author's writing.
