Silvia Sacchetti is based at the University of Stirling, Management School, Institute for Socio-Management. In the past, she has been conducting academic activity in Italy, (University of Ferrara, University of Bologna, University of Trento) and in England (University of Birmingham). Her main research and teaching interests are in the field of socio-economic development, including work on the original institutional economics concepts of habits, values, motivations. Recently, she has been working on the impact of creativity on satisfaction and on institutional change. Publications on these matters have appeared in: Regional Studies, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, Review of Social Economy, International Review of Applied Economics, New Political Economy, Journal of Economic Surveys, European Planning Studies.
