Simon Smart has spent the last 10 years working in almost every aspect of software development, from accounting systems to manufacturing machinery programming. Over the course of his career he has seen software move away from desktop machines and towards web-based applications like the ones covered in this book.Starting with the earliest versions of ASP he experienced its growth into ASP.NET 4, spending many long hours finding out what works and what doesn't.Simon always found books and documentation about ASP.NET to be of limited use, even to the experienced. In 2011 he set out to write his own book, hoping to pass on the knowledge gained in his years working as a programmer.In his spare time, Simon can be usually be found in the outdoors, roaming the forests and hills looking for new places to explore. His dad finds this amusing, particularly when it's raining.
