This is a direct sequel to The Surgeon, concentrating on the character Jane Rizzoli. There's a new murderer in town and he shows echoes of Warren Hoyt. But Warren is in Jail and his mentor is dead. Things get even more complicated when Warren escapes from jail and the two serial killers join forc...

3.5 stars This is part of the Rizzoli and Isles series, but be warned: If you're expecting the books to be like the TV show, you're in for one heck of a surprise. The characters don't bear too much resemblance to their TV counterparts and there's definitely less humor woven into the story. I knew ...

I am glad I decided to read these in order. This book was basically a sequel and continuation of the previous book. I liked it a lot. I've already got the next book loaded up on my Nook to read!

A 3.5 would probably be more accurate. This is due to the rather anti-climatic ending. There's a huge buildup and then it's all over way too easily and quickly. Even so I enjoyed the rest of the book enough that I'll try the next one in the series.

Deja vu. I had the really strange feeling I had already read this. I finally realized that one of the episodes of the TV series "Rizzoli and Isles" was based on this book. It's actually very good. I'm not a huge fan of Tess Gerritsen's writing, it sometimes seems like she doesn't really know how ...

Another solid thriller. This book delivers on the promise to feature Jane Rizzoli as the main character and introduces Maura Isles as the medical examiner. There's a lot more depth to Rizzoli this time around and an interesting addition in the form of Gabriel Dean, an FBI agent that's helping on t...

So this picked up where the first one left off...While I was reading the first book, I was thinking the whole time "okay where is this Dr. Isles? and why is she not present?"So she makes "an appearance" in this book, but it's still not the same as the tv show on TNT called Rizzoli & Isles. Which was...

Although I did not enjoy this as much as I did the Surgeon, I'm definitely continuing with the series. Full of twists, turns, suspense and action, this is a definite must for those who love thrillers.
