*shrug*Things I liked about this book: Edward. All the Edward. He remains fantastic. It was also nice seeing Anita actually out working on a murder case for once. How quaint. Also: I quite like Las Vegas, so it was fun seeing the characters run around in Sin City.Things that drove me nuts: Lack of e...

I have to thank Laurell K. Hamilton and this book for teaching me life is too short to hang on even after a series jumps the shark. For me the Anita Blake series did in Narcissus in Chains, the tenth book. This is the 17th book in the series, but two things had kept me going. First, back when this b...

Better than some of the other stories that have turned up recently in this series, this, though, has several layers of What and Why going on. Even though the beginning's complete 180 for Haven caught me off guard (writer's prerogative or failure to keep track of story thread?), I gratefully let this book wipe away some of the bad taste from the previous lackluster books.

Skin Trade is the most recent Anita Blake I've finished. It starts out by far much better than the previous several. But then the tedious dialogue gets in the way.o as I mentioned, it starts out wonderfully--like the old books!o since I commute to work, I've been listening to the audiobooks. It...

I enjoyed this book. I liked that Anita was teamed up with Edward and Olaf again and Las Vegas pro swat team and their psychics. I found the explorations of Anita's tiger great. The plot was neat and i liked all the drama that Vittorio instigated.

I am a fan of Laurell K Hamilton's writing. This book did not dissappoint. While I missed Jean-Claude, Richard, and the rest of the St. Louis group, I enjoyed having Edward as a principle character in this book. It has been interesting to watch the friendship between Anita and Edward evolve over...
