"You are eating high blood pressure, stress, and adrenaline. You are eating fear, grief, and rage. You are eating suffering, horror, and murder. You are eating cruelty. You are what you eat. You cannot be thin, beautiful with a glowing complexion when you eat fear, grief and rage"*I'm mentally slapp...

This was a last minute squeeze in for 2014 based on a frequent recommendation from a tumblr I follow. It was the worst book I read this year. This book regurgitated some questionable theories and gives some seriously bad advice that sounds like gateway advise to an eating disorder. there were a fe...

It's been years since I've read this one. I think I was fifteen or something. Hah. Read it because of the veggie-content. : )

I love the frank, vicious way this book talks to you. It's perfect for hard-headed people like me.

I borrowed this book from the library knowing it was more about eating organically, than about losing weight. If you are/were one of the people who bought this book as a weight loss guide, you may be/may have been a bit disappointed. This book is written in an in-your-face manner with some strong la...

A friend loaned me this. The writing was fun at first and I was interested in what the authors had to say. But the style got old and I got tired of the authors trying to scare me into turning vegan. It was really all a bit much and not what I expected. I'm not finishing this nonsense.

One day, while my sister and I were living together, she looked up at my book...

This book... oh, this book. What can I say? I thought it was... meh. There were parts where I thought it was very educational for people who are interested in losing a few pounds. I even learned a few things from this book. I think it's fantastic in promoting healthy-living. However, there's a lot o...

This book went around the vegan world years ago but I never read it because, well, I was already vegan. I find that books telling you what is in your food and how your food comes to be on your plate are all quite similar once you've read more than one. But this was available for loan from my library...

I picked up this book to try to counteract some of the temptation of overeating during the holidays, with the idea that some tough direct talk would give me the resolve to walk past the endless supply of sweets at work and at home. If ratings were based on an author's intention, then this book woul...
