I put off reading this last year because I didn't think I would like reading about a skeleton MC...Boy was I wrong! I love Skulduggery and his ragtag team of misfits! The characters are fun and surprising, action is exciting, and magic is...fun! I really enjoyed this one, and already have the next o...

The front cover looked exciting. The name'Skulduggery Pleasant' appealed to me. The Blurb, well... it was....... short. This book was a good read and pretty short(like the blurb). Not much happened but it was a good introduction to an 8/9 book series and It wasn't exactly boring. I began to read and...

I've been highly anticipated Skulduggery Pleasant for so long. I'm really happy I finally read, and I'm definitely going to read the sequel. But at the same time, I feel like it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. It wasn't bad at all, but I was expecting so much more awesome than there was. ...

Although this book is aimed towards children of 9 years plus, I believe it's still a great read for adults. It really is a lot of fun! It's an adventure story filled with magic and mild horror, which in my opinion is a great mix. I knocked a star off as I thought the ending was quite abrupt. A massi...

The narrator was great. He had a delicious Irish accent, although he modified it to suit other chara...

I started reading these series in March 2014, now is August 2014 and I finished book 8. *Starts sobbing* Derek, why? Why would you do this to me? *locks the emotions away in a jar* Okay, so...this is my all time favorite series!! And I'm not kidding. The structure of the story alone is amazing but t...

First Skulduggery Pleasant book. I had tried this one a few months ago and hadn’t quite gotten into it, but this time I really enjoyed Stephanie and Skulduggery. It’s one for a very specific kind of reader, and that reader will likely LOVE it.

This was a fun and funny read but it didn't strike the right balance of adventure, mystery and wisecracking heroes for me. I won't continue with the series but if you like the book description I'd recommend you give it a go.

An interesting story about a girl who finds herself embroiled in magic, murder and mayhem in Dublin when her uncle dies suddenly. When she finds that his horror stories were in fact based in truth she has the choice to join forces with good to defeat evil or stay with the normal world. Interesting...
