I really really wanted to like this book. As a teenager I adored the Pern books. But although this credits Anne McCaffrey, it's obvious that her son Todd has done most of the writing. I really enjoyed the continuing story, although there were gaps & questions I wished had been answered. I like that there are so many strong female characters.
