Skyla Dawn Cameron has been writing approximately forever. Her early storytelling days were spent acting out strange horror/fairy tales with the help of her many dolls, and little has changed except that she now keeps those stories on paper. She signed her first book contract at age twenty-one for River, a unique werewolf tale, which was released to critical and reader praise alike and won her the 2007 EPPIE Award for Best Fantasy. She now has multiple series on the go to keep her busy, which is great for her short attention span. She is also a proud Writer of Unlikable Female Characters™.Skyla is a fifth generation crazy cat lady who lives in southern Ontario where she writes full time, works as a freelance designer, stabs people with double pointed knitting needles, is an avid gamer, and watches Buffy reruns. If she ever becomes a grownup, she wants to run her own Irish pub, as well as become world dictator. She probably won't ever become a grownup, though. You can visit her on the web at www.skyladawncameron.com. When she's not writing or being glared at by cats, she's probably on Twitter. You should ping @skyladawn and tell her to get back to work.Stay up to date on new releases by visiting www.skyladawncameron.com/newsletter/ to sign up for Skyla's newsletter.

I won a free paperback copy from a giveaway curtesy of JC’s Book Haven. (Over 3 years ago. Christ, I’m so behind.)I laughed for almost 5 mins after reading the last page. Totally psyched me out. Go Zara!Yeah, Zara is not a nice person. She’s selfish, self-centered, vain, greedy, and a ruthless kill...

While this is a not bad book, so far it's the weakest in the series, peeps. I'm trying to think rationally about things that made it so and all I can come with is that Peri is not a very likeable character and she is outshadowed constantly by Zara Lain.Peri is a quarter-demon who found out about her...

Ryann, Ellie, and Nic are called to Alchemy Red for some more-than-normal strange events. The clientele of the supernatural club aren't aware of the haunting happening. And the owners aren't able to stop it so they called Nic for help. What they come across in the basement could be more than these t...
