Her debut novel, "The Clasp," was a national bestseller and has been optioned for film by Universal Pictures. She is the editor of "The Best American Travel Writing 2011," "Up The Down Volcano," and is a frequent contributor to a variety of publications such as The New York Times and GQ. She is included in "The Library of America's 50 Funniest American Writers According to Andy Borowitz" and "The Best American Non-Required Reading," edited by Dave Eggers. She lives in New York City.

Looking for a fun, quick read? I just finished I Was Told There'd Be Cake by Sloane Crosley. It's a collection of essays that are too DARN funny! It's a great summer read that doesn't involve an ounce of thinking. I'm all for not one iota of activity, even if it is just thinking. full review
