This was a 2-3 star read for me starting out. Brody was, in a word, an asshat. It was very hard to feel much sympathy for him in the beginning. Zach was a relatively well-adjusted delight and I enjoyed all the time we spent in his head. The mystery sub-plot was well done and necessarily to Brody's ...

Damn, the curse of unmet expectations for a newbie author's second book strikes again with the added detail that the suspense wasn't even part of the story, and I missed it. Badly.
