It was totally predictable and flawed but I fell in love with the MCs Brandon and Finn. They just worked for me. I love broken men and I adore the people who try to heal them. A small town sheriff notices and looks after a terrified new resident in town.

Another one of Ms. Blackwell`s mismatched couples in a story that felt rushed and dealt with the abuse/domestic violence in a former relationship theme all too lightly.At the end I didn`t have the feeling that this couple will make it but hopefully the sequel will be more convincing...
My major problem with this book was that it basically just took the love of a good man and some hot sex to cure ten years of emotional, physical (broken bones, burns), and sexual abuse. Oh, hell no.
