So I read book one and was very impressed with it. If you haven't read book one than I highly suggest you read it as you will be lost if you start on Solitary. So in this story if you remember Alex and his buddies went to try to escape via a tunnel that was collapsed. We left off where they got thro...

I have to be honest, I've been on a bit of a binge. I inhaled “Lockdown” and “Solitary” in one day.It has left me on a downer, though. Smith writes such brilliantly gritty stuff, that I know that the chances of seeing Furnace in any other format except written are slim to none at best. I mean there ...

There are moments when I firmly believe that Alexander Gordon Smith should be sent to Furnace for his criminal use of immense cliffhangers. Still interested in the series, but this book Alex has hardly any interactions and the reader spends too much time inside his head. It got boring in a lot of places for me.

Not in this series.I love...

Love, love, LOVE it! Just like the first book, the second installment of the Escape From Furnace series was just as spectacular, intense and disturbing. I have lost count of the many instances where I felt my heart thumping out of excitement, fear and disbelief. This book proved to Alex Sawyer and t...

So so so good ! Maybe slightly less than the first one, but still oh so amazing. I started it earlier this evening and I just couldn't put it down, I read for 5 hours straight, cause at each chapter's ending I had to know what would happen next. I cried so much though lol ! When Alex killed Donovan ...

Alex Sawyer and his allies broke out of the general population sector, but their escape from Furnace Penitentiary is far from over - more so now that those who survived are locked in solitary confinement. Despite the hallucinations, and licking the rock walls for moisture, solitary isn't so bad comp...
