I thought it was a great novel! It was intriguing and albeit Lisa Kleypas following a certain pattern, this book was definitely entertaining! I thoroughly enjoyed it! The only reason it doesn't have a 5 star review is because it didn't knock me off my feet "Devil in Winter" style.
Nice. Just wondering - does the Bow Street Runners' doctor Dr. Lindley have a story too? He deserves to have one (and he does, in one of Kleypas' novellas).Just one quibble - why do Kleypas' heroes always have to be so tall? In the 1830s people were shorter than they are now, and someone who grew up...
*3.5 stars*man the first part of this book really dragged. I had to force myself to read it. It really started moving along though and I enjoyed it more. I can't believe that Grant was so clueless as to not realize what was going on but he didn't until it was too late. LOLI'll likely continue wi...
I’ve been on a big Lisa Kleypas kick lately and am a self-professed fangirl. While I was disappointed in this on, I still had a hard time putting it down. The book starts off with an promising premise. A woman is found half drowned in the river by a Bow Street runner. She turns out to be Vivien Duva...
4.5 starsThese Bow Street Runners are such lovable teady bears. Me loves it. :POnce again Kleypas has sucked me in. She reminds me once again why I love her writing so much. This is seriously making me want to re-read Lady Sophia's Lover just so I can revisit Sir Ross Cannon and his quiet intensity....
I adore Lisa Kleypas but found this book completely underwhelming. I like amnesia plots but despise revenge plots. Grant's ridiculous scheme to exact revenge against a courtesan for spreading a false rumor that injured his manly pride made him seem extremely petty. I actively disliked him for the...
Enjoyable read, good characters but a bit predictable. The only part of the story that bothered me was Grant's initial meeting with Vivian and then his plans for revenge when he thought he had her in his home. He did redeem himself by admitting his love for her while still being under the impression...
Lisa Kleypas is one of my all-time favourite authors. But Someone to watch Over Me wasn’t my favourite book from her. Don’t get me wrong, it was still enjoyable and endearing, but it didn’t have the same punch as her other works.I think I felt this way because of the characters. Grant Morgan is a Bo...
