A History Nut's Romantic State of Mind
I read this book many many years ago and loved it. It is a wonderfully written book, definitely one of Lisa Kleypas' classics. Bow Street Runner rescued the virgin sister of a famous courtesan. The attraction is steamy and the lead characters very likely. What I find a bit unsettling is I never real...

I feel like I got gyphed here because I thought I was getting a courtesan and a bow street runner story, but it turns out there was ALSO a mistaken identity plot and therefore I was really getting a country miss and a bow street runner. Sadly, that coupling just doesn't do it for me. I would have li...

Nick had a lifetime of tragedy to overcome. Facing his internal demons, with the help of Lottie, he becomes the man he was always meant to be. An excellent story.

3.5 stars. I missed the humor of her Hathaways series (yes, I know...I still need to read Wallflowers for all the people that love to keep reminding me!) in this one, but the suspense element was still enjoyable.Either way, it's still Kleypas and it was good. Not as much of a grabber as her other ...

I think if this was the me who read this back when it was first published I would have scored the book higher. Quick, good read, but not as impressive in re-read.

I enjoyed this book. It was a sweet story. A little predictable, but still very good.
