From the New York Times bestselling author of Something Borrowed comes a novel that shows how someone with a ‘perfect life’ can lose it all—and then find everything. Darcy Rhone thought she had it all figured out: the more beautiful the girl, the more charmed her life. Never mind substance. Never mind playing by the rules. Never mind karma. But Darcy’s neat, perfect world turns upside down when her best friend, Rachel, the plain-Jane “good girl,” steals her fiancé, while Darcy finds herself completely alone for the first time in her life…with a baby on the way. Darcy tries to recover, fleeing to her childhood friend living in London and resorting to her tried-and-true methods for getting what she wants. But as she attempts to recreate her glamorous life on a new continent, Darcy finds that her rules no longer apply. It is only then that Darcy can begin her journey toward self-awareness, forgiveness, and motherhood. Something Blue is a novel about one woman’s surprising discoveries about the true meaning of friendship, love, and happily-ever-after. It’s a novel for anyone who has ever, even secretly, wondered if the last thing you want is really the one thing you need.

Series: Darcy & Rachel (#2)
Honestly, I didn't like this one much more than "Something Borrowed", but due to the ending (which I had a hard time believing) I still gave it three stars because I think that the main character in this one (Darcy) was more honest about her crap than her ex-best friend Rachel. I did spend about 60 ...
"Coś niebieskiego" czyta się równie szybko jak jej poprzedniczkę. Szczerze mówiąc mi przypadła do gustu bardziej niż "Coś pożyczonego", być może ze względu na moją niechęć do Rachel, albo dlatego, że od razu byłam zaciekawiona postacią Ethana. Sposób bycia i charakter Darcy był czasami dziwnie śmies...
Initial reaction: I read this book earlier this past year (2012) but didn't write a review on it because I wanted to read it a second time to write a thorough review. I still have the book and will probably go through it again just to clarify details Suffice to say it was worse than the first book a...

Love the breezy, smooth flow of Emily Giffin's books and this one is no different than her usual style. I especially like that the main character is not adorable and doesn't cause warm fuzzy feelings with her personality. She is self absorbed and has an unearned sense of entitlement. That being said...
