A very sweet story!
Guy decides his marriage isn't exciting anymore and walks out without any thought to doing something to make it better or you know, talking to his husband about it. Not a guy I can be bothered reading much more about, tbh. I disliked him from the first page.
I'm really surprised that that's a Dreamspinner cover. Usually their covers range from "okay" to "awesome". This one is just...lazy.
2.5
Nice easy read and despite what I thought after reading the blurb it is very light on the angst and drama.I appreciate that even the ex was a nice guy. My only issue is that Frank and Robert split so easily and drama free, no problems and Frank moves on easily with Conner. Maybe that was to show the...
Can't say the cover really grabs me. Don't know why.
I enjoyed it, but never really got into it. It had a sort of narrative style, where I felt like I was being told a story rather than being immersed in one, so I was always at a bit of a remove from the characters.
Just kinda meh. It wasn't bad, but I almost put it down several times. It was a shorter read, and things felt a bit rushed. I thought the guys went from meeting to madly in love and raising kids together really quickly, and wish it had been done a bit slower and more detailed.
I liked this book very much. From beginning to end it was well-balanced and a feel-good read. Not heavily on the drama, just the development of the relationship and the growing of a family. I enjoyed the writing very much and will definitely read more by this author.
2.5 stars. Just wasn't feeling the 'spark' between the main characters. Liked the writing, but just wasn't too invested in what happened between these guys.
