First and foremost I enjoy Marie Sexton's writing, so I bought this just because I saw her name. I knew nothing about it in advance. If you asked me now to explain it I would tell you I have no idea how to do that. Okay, okay here is a shot. It's a fantasy, romance, western, whew. The story starts ...

3.5 for meThe story rolled a little too slow in the beginning, Aren's situation vague, the universe he lives in even more so. I still have a lot of questions about the continent and Aren's life there. Sex scenes were exhausting, maybe because I am not a big fan of those to begin with, especially thr...

3,5 starsAn enjoyable read with a slow buring romance, my favourite kind. This takes place in what looks like the old west, but with wraiths, creatures of the night who kill people. So definitely a fantasy land.We have Aren who is hired as the new bookkeeper at the BarChi ranch. He is a bit shy and u...

I really need half stars. I'd give this 2.5 stars. I didn't like it, but I didn't hate it either. It's one of those take it or leave it for me books. Just not as good for me as the other Marie Sexton books I've read. Her stories usually suck me in quickly, but I just couldn't get into this one,...

Niiiice! I have to say that after reading the awful, incorrectly portrayed BDSM of 50 Shades, I've been lucky enough to cleanse my BDSM palate with a couple of excellent kinky tales, including this one. And again, this was a surprise, because I had no idea that it would play such a huge role in So...

I picked this up after seeing it again in one of those best of 2011 lists. The book had slipped my mind, I had planned on buying it earlier when it came out. Although I liked it and the writing was good it did not really grab me like wow.

Excellent kinky scifi m/m romance with cowboys. Weirdly, I'm not a big fan of scifi and even less of a fan of cowboy books, but this just completely worked for me. It's about an artist who takes a job as a bookkeeper for a ranch on the other side of the world so he can get away from his past at the ...

Completely engrossing. The romance between the two character grows slowly allowing the reader to know each character. This is a sci-fi/western, but it's not so beyond the whelm of reality that it become an obstacle. Highly recommend.
