I think my biggest problem with this book (which is the 2nd of the series) is that I cannot warm up to the heroine, somehow. I don't see her as having any use at all! Even her boyfriend is more useful, with his knowledge on medicine. I feel like Avery is just "floating" around being slightly annoyin...
