I earned a B.A. in philosophy from Haverford College, and on a Rockefeller Fellowship studied at the University of Chicago. I was a freelance journalist for a while, then worked and/or wrote for The New York Review of Books, Cavalier, and The New York Free Press. I have been published in the Kenyon, Wisconsin, and New England Reviews; International Philosophical Quarterly; Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy; Tango News; and elsewhere. My novels include Restaurant (about a town that has an uncanny resemblance to Provincetown, MA), Benny's Mission, The Thrift Shop Murders, Symphony, and Three Sexes in Search of the Creddlebones. A collection of short stories, Terminal Vibrato, was published by Beaufort Books, NY, in 2007. My poetry collection is entitled Making Up for Lost Dreams, and I have had nine productions of my plays in New York City. I play and teach jazz piano professionally, and live in Middlebury, VT, and New York City.www.stanfordpritchard.com
