Why is it that novelisations of movies often seem to be extremely poor? This is a classic example. It's sparse without very much to add to the story or flesh out the characters, just a little without delving into any real characterisation. It could have been so much better.

This was a bit better than the movie. I think it explains events better than the movie ever could have. However, it was only okay; even Salvatore couldn't have improved this piece of literature.
Konnici na Liriite - Chevalier Du Lys
Didn't enjoy the book. It didn't add anything the movie didn't tell us. Salvatore is one of my favourite writer but writing a novelization is hard as hell because most of the time you've got nothing new to give the readers and so the movie wins.
