For more reviews, check out my blog: Craft-CycleA wonderfully fantastic journey through the unknown. This book is pure Gaiman, filled with all sorts of oddities, mystical elements, and pure magic.I listened to the audiobook of this as read by the author. This is the third or fourth audiobook I've li...

The point of these quick takes post to catch up on my "To Write About" stack—emphasizing pithiness, not thoroughness. This is a little longer than most of these that I do, I just wanted to get caught up on my Library Book Audiobooks (I'm so thankful that I can get audio downloads from my library rig...

Narrated by Neil Gaimain I liked this better as an audiobook. I'm not sure whether it's the format or just the reread but the stuff that puzzled me the first time around made more sense this time.

I kind of fell down a rabbit hole and finally peeked out. I finished this up the other day and promptly forgot about it. Sorry to say, but the movie was indeed better when reading the source material to the movie "Stardust." I like the idea of an adult fairy tale, but man, this was not for me at all...

Delightful. And the rare case where watching the movie made the book feel even richer.

Stardust is a wonderful little fairy tale of a story. It has magic spells and evil witches and falling stars and captive nymphs and an ordinary, well-meaning, naïve boy who goes on a quest for true love. Best of all, this audiobook is read by Neil Gaiman himself, and he is my absolute favorite for a...

I saw the movie before I read the book and that kind of spoiled it because a lot is different between them. I still enjoyed the book and consider it one of Gaiman's really good ones. The premise is Tristan, a village boy, loves the stuck-up girl in town, but she only has eyes for a boy with her ow...

Confession #1: I saw the movie first, and it was really hard to detach it from the book: comparisons were inevitable, Confession #2: this is my first book by Mr. Gaiman (and it won't be the last) So.. I liked the story, but this is one of the rare occasions that the movie was better on my humble opi...
