I did enjoy reading this book and found it hard to put down after Joe came into the picture. However, some of it seems extreme and absurd, especially after the climax came about. I'm really glad I'm not rich, and I don't have rich people problems.I think readers can relate to Van's problem of loving...

I'm enjoying this novel. Larkin is a good storyteller thus far. I'm a little too old for it, I think, but someone twentyish or early thirties might love it. I am admiring her craft. Unpretentious.

Not that impressed. Took itself too seriously? And Van was really annoying at the beginning, all mopey and feeling sorry for herself. After a while I wanted her to just GET OVER IT ALREADY. I also felt like some of the characters were little more than cliches at times, and a lot of Larkin's "jokes" ...
