I'm enjoying this novel. Larkin is a good storyteller thus far. I'm a little too old for it, I think, but someone twentyish or early thirties might love it. I am admiring her craft. Unpretentious.

Not that impressed. Took itself too seriously? And Van was really annoying at the beginning, all mopey and feeling sorry for herself. After a while I wanted her to just GET OVER IT ALREADY. I also felt like some of the characters were little more than cliches at times, and a lot of Larkin's "jokes" ...
