well..that's interesting. Granted, I'm not actually familiar with most of the authors...or characters. Not really the genre I follow. I do kinda wish similar existed in romance if only to see how other authors do characters.

Steve Berry excels at fanciful story lines (although nothing compared to Clive Cussler), and The King's Deception doesn't disappoint in this regard. Cotton Malone is back, as is his son, Gary. They wade through a good bit of creative British "history," nick a terrorist, threaten Northern Irelenad wi...

[edit] American history hasn't ever been my favorite, although I'm thankful for my citizenship. So when I discovered Berry's latest Cotton Malone book was contrived around Lincoln, I didn't have great hopes that I'd enjoy it much.I was wrong. This is a good book: well written, informative, fast-pace...

I love these collections. Some days it’s so hard to find time to block out the rest of the world & disappear into a great book. With these shorties, you can spend 20 minutes in your favourite hiding spot & enjoy a complete story from some of the best known thriller writers. Each is a collaboration...

Outstanding book. The intrigue of surviving members of the Romanov family massacre before the Russian revolutions coming back to claim the Tsar throne in present day times kept me turning the pages in this book. Berry has created a very intelligent novel, and I highly recommend this book to anyone, ...

Just average, and it's partly my fault because I was expecting the novel to take off story wise quicker than it did......and in the meantime I was subjected to massive historical facts (which I applaud Berry's research on) where I was more in the mood for character and plot development. The ending s...

Great plot, great characters, and I loved the way this book explored the history of the great religions of the world. I think this is the best of the Berry books I have read so far, and I am looking forward to upcoming Cotton Malone books.

Very interesting plot and deftly woven by Berry to combine current issues with the debate of where Alexander the Great was buried. I was just shy of considering this a great book due to the characters being slightly on the thin side in terms of development, but overall a good read and worth the time...
