Written as letters from a father to a daughter, coupled with journal entries, this novel captures the feelings and struggles of family relationships. I still can't figure out what this book was trying to be - murder mystery, psychological study, political thriller, "erotic" thriller... Whatever Thayer was trying to do with it, I don't think it succeeded at any of it. A very odd book.
