I've had careers in Journalism, Psychotherapy and Social Work which have enabled me to write books, chapters, blogs and feature articles on a range of social science, mental health and current affairs matters. I am a Unicef childrens champion and support CND, Greenpeace and many campaigns aimed at creating a more egalitarian society and equal rights for those citizens around the World who are not treated fairly. I am an Alumnus of the London School of Economics and Political Science (MSc in Social Policy and Social Work) and recently completed an MPhil in Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Semi-retired, I am an External Examiner for the Centre for Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex, an Expert Witness for solicitors acting on behalf of disadvantaged children, and I volunteer at a Job Club for unemployed job seekers.
