Essentially a compilation of short articles by eminent scientists & academics about their favourite deep & elegant theories. There's a lot of ground covered from physics to sociology, so there's probably something of interest for everyone.

That's the part of the book I enjoyed, although the stuff on the clock was at times interesting. I liked the questions he posed and the l...

I spent many an hour in the early days reading from this book, randomly picking pages and carrying on until I got tired out.I don't necessarily remember doing many of things in the book, but it certainly made all of us "back in the day" want to go and change the wor...

Brand is all over the library, in terms of writing projects. As far as I know, this is the only book that looks at the way people transform spaces over time. Fascinating.
