I borrowed this novel from my aunt a while ago and feel bad that it has taken me this long to read it. I feel like such a slacker. Anyways, I guess there was a reason why I delayed reading it because now, this novel has taken on greater meaning to me. My aunt is now battling this disease. As I read ...

Still Alice was an emotional journey into the life of someone with early-onset Alzheimer's Disease. While I don't personally have any experience with EOAD, or have any family members who have suffered, I've come across it a bit in some previous research I've conducted. I was able to feel not only Al...

It is hard to know what to say about this novel. It is so gripping and difficult to put down but at times it is so overwhelmingly intense that I could not go on reading it. The experiences of Alice are so vivid and heart-wrenching. An extremely poignant portrayal of Alzheimer's.

This book was read by me exactly at a time when it had great personal meaning to me. I couldn't put it down and found it fascinating. And completely heart wrenching. The author pulled you right into this woman's life, so you lived each moment of her disease and its progression. This story gave m...

This book was our latest selection for my book club and I think it was one that was mutually enjoyed and one that we found quite interesting. Set in Cambridge, Massachusetts it is the story of Alice Howland who is a highly intelligent and esteemed Harvard professor in the field of linguistics. Ju...
