Well developed storyline with characters deserving of the readers time. If you enjoy the Victorian Era, well crafted characters, and a strong plot, you will enjoy this book. The author has a multifaceted cast of characters to intertwine in a full featured mystery in post civil war Boston.
Each book is a complete mystery that can stand on its own, but the characters are strong enough that you want to know more about them, which pulls you along into the next book, and the next.
