Dated genre for the most; modern rational thinking means devil stories are null and void. King's new direction works better for me.

Like so many of his stories, this one started out strong and fizzled out towards the end. He's so good at buildup that much of the time, no resolution will measure up.The Stand is a good example of this, too.
