Meh. It was alright, but I have no desire to continue the series. It contains one of my YA pet peeves, which is when a character risks dire consequences (e.g. death or dismemberment) merely for the sake of mild curiosity or an unfounded hunch. Maybe Alex just doesn't really care about death at a...

Now, this book was originally meant to be a Flashback Friday post as this isn't the first (or second, or third) time I've read this book; but I missed the deadline. Alex Rider series is a series that I read when I was a young girl in elementary/middle school. It was a book that was fast paced and wa...

Highly improbable, full of deus ex machina plot devices, and not overly complex writing. But you know what? It's fun! As I read Stormbreaker, all I kept thinking was, "when my nephew is 11, 12, or 13 or so, this is something I can imagine him reading!" This is an action/adventure spy thriller...

Rating: 5 StarsI love this series so much. I don't know why, but I was searching Goodreads one day and stumbled upon this series, bought the first 5 books and became instantly addicted. This series, well this book, draws you in from the very beginning with the mysterious death of Alex Rider's uncl...

An amazing novel, from to start to finish packed with action, it was easy to read and very enjoyable, A great start to a new series, I loved it. I have also seen the movie, in this case the novel was better but the actor playing Alex Rider was perfect for the part.

This is the ultimate teen spy book, and lets face it the most well known and with the highest sales no doubt. They even made a movie staring Alex Pettyfier and Mickey Rourke. The story is a little sad, Alex Rider is an orphan (Yeah that's getting old, Most child characters are orphans, Oliver Twis...

This book is definitely James Bond for teens. This is the first in a series about 14 year old Alex Rider, who is chosen after his uncle's death to take up his failed mission as a spy for M16, Britain's intelligence agency. The story may not be deep enough to entice adult readers, but all of the acti...

This book had an interesting premise but I didn't feel it was executed very well. There were too many "fortunately"s. So, for example, "Oh no, someone's coming. Fortunately there's this supply closet right here I can hide it." Or, "Oh no, I need to leave this highly secure compound. Fortunately ther...
