Since this is a retelling of a fairy tale that many readers will already know, I was hoping for a lot more suspense. The majority of the story dragged or had me rolling my eyes at how stupid the main character was being. Overall, I still liked the book and its setting.

This was well written and descriptive but it was as dull as a brick. Even without knowing the Bluebeard story I could predict the ending and because of Sophia's lack of things to do the book itself was just very boring in the middle. I was very disappointed
