Eve Dallas-Roarke series is a comfort read for me. I love them. This time Eve is on a murder where the man killed does not have the reputation for the way he died. It's also the first time that a movie is used in the series as the inspiration for the plot. I won't say which movie. Read the book...

A prominent member of society is found dead in his home, while his wife is away with friends. The man was tied and strangled on the bed with various sex toys proudly displayed beside his bed. It looks like a kinky game gone wrong, but it sure smells like foul play to Lieutenant Eve Dallas. She also...

Please note that I gave this 4.5 stars and rounded it up to 5 stars on Goodreads.I was in a reading slump and finally climbed out of it due to some old In Death re-reads. I also read the latest and it reminded me all over again why I went from I love this series, to okay I can see some slowing down,...

This one is one of them that I don't remember all that well. You'd think I'd remember this one better then the first few in the series, but it seems to be the other way around. It's been a while since I've read a book for my In Death re-read, but I never seem to have a problem getting back into the ...

I'm not sure what's wrong with me lately with this series but I just can't get into it lately. The was good, yes. it wasn't bad. But it just didn't grab me, which it used to. It was a challenge to read the small amount that did read. I'm not sure but I'm just not really liking it at the moment. Whic...

When an rich old philantrophist dies the first suspect is his wife, but she was miles away on holidays. Eve has a fairly good idea who did it but the how is the issue. It's an interesting story and it did draw me in. Like many of the latest Rourke and Eve stories it's more about the people and th...

Loved it, but thought it ended too soon. Wanted more of what happened to the bad guy. Also, we left Baxter feeling out of sorts. I want more, dammit! ;)
