STRUCK BY LIGHTNING is brilliant, thoughtful, and real. Carson's writting is belivable and likely strikes a chord with several of today's teens. And you don't even have to be a GLEE fan to read this book!

The imagery itself is kind of bland and I think that having the author on the cover is a little cheesy. The Gist: Carson Phillips is determined to escape his small town and gain early accepta...

Ok, I'm a little biased because I'm a huge fan of Chris Colfer, and also because I was a sort of shyer and less confident version of Carson Phillips in high school. So this story hit me in a very personal place.Guess what? I do like Carson. Yes, he's a jerk. But I like that. He's not a hero, nor a v...

The book is written in the form of a journal and it starts with Carson telling a bit about his life, his past, his goals for the future and high school. Carson does not like his classmates at all and looks down on them, believing himself to be superior to them. Carson’s goal is to get into Northwest...
