The first time I read this book I loved it but in my rush to devour the words I missed parts of the storyline and when all was read and done and my usual reflection was made I realised I hadn't quite got the why of it all. The thing is, so much happens in Summer Knight the multistories tying up all ...

So, we get more information on the White Council (not just the vague references in the first couple of books and our buddy Morgan the Warden), as well as our introduction to the Fae Courts. Throw in everything we learned about Marcone in book 2, vampires in book 3, and what we're about to learn in b...

This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life.I really enjoyed my re-read of this book! I first read this book years ago and liked it then as well but I probably liked it a bit more this time around. This series is up to full speed by the time you get to this book and I just love Harry and...

If blasting rods and staffs are standard wizard fare, what do they use for euphemisms?Harry Dresden is having a bad day, or is that week, month, and year? His girlfriend has been semi-turned into a vampire, it's raining frogs in the park, a ghoul is trying to assassinate him, the vampire Red Court w...

After taking some time off from the Dresden Files, I found myself happily re-engaged in the life of Harry Dresden, professional wizard and all around nice guy. Summer Knight starts about eight to nine months after the conclusion of the previous title, when Harry is forced to deal with the outfall fr...

I am really enjoying this series. As each novel unfolds, one realizes that Harry Dresden is involved in some serious (stuff). Having Harry work to prevent a war between Winter and Summer was an ingenious plot device, and you really get the sense that even bigger things are coming. Great read.

I read this series so fast I honestly don't have time to post updates. Most of them would just say things like wow. Oh my God. Wow. Seriously.I am so glad I was told about this series through an online friend in one of the Amazon forums. I found that the pace of this book moved quite quick and we st...
