I wish I knew what magic makes a book so compelling that you just get sucked right into it and look up hours later, thinking, “I should go to bed, but just a few more pages, but ohhh I’m really going to be sorry when my alarm goes off at 5:30, but just a few more pages, ohhh what the heck okay anoth...
Summer Sisters by Judy BlumeThis novel is about two females who meet while in the 6th grade. Caitlin and Victoria. Vic had never been near the ocean and Cat had asked her to spend the summer with her family. She is thrown into the life of leisure, everything at your fingertips, the elite. Such a shoc...
50 Word Book ReviewThe novel lacks conviction. I’m reeling in shock as Summer Sisters by Judy Blume currently holds a 3.8 rating on goodreads. Commonplace characters set in a weak plot: natural disaster. A heavy emphasis on the characters’ teenage years, the story has potential, but failed miserably...
I used to have a Caitlin in my life. While (for the most part) I'm glad I don't anymore, I smiled and cried throughout this quick read because it reminded me a lot of that relationship (that lasted from 15 through my early 20s).

Very good book, basically a coming of age story. My mother didn't like it, she said it was too vulgar... But a friend of mine read it too, and we both still talk and laugh about things from this book. I enjoyed it!
The first adult novel of Judy Blume's I read..I enjoyed it. A little bit "sexier" than her normal run of the mill books..I had a difficult time with that at first because these were teens in the book, but it didn't detract from it too much.
