I was born and raised in Michigan, and my spiritual quest began with baptizing my younger sister's doll collection. It was not an auspicious beginning. I went on to the University of Tennessee for undergraduate and graduate work, and later in life, completed a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.My husband and I have an apartment in Italy that we are in the process of restoring. I write about this in my blog, AmericansinUmbria. We plan to retire to Italy next year,and I am sure there will be additional culture clashes to write about.
