Susan Miura grew up in the Chicago suburbs, longing for a horse and reading books by Marguarite Henry, Walter Farley, and Anna Sewell. After attaining her goal of becoming a newspaper reporter, she headed for the wide-open spaces of New Mexico, until her heart lead her back home to Illinois. Love and marriage followed, along with a career in public relations. Susan works for the Schaumburg Township District Library, gives travel presentations, reviews books for The Book Report, and is involved in helping promote human trafficking rescue and rehabilitation efforts. In addition to her young adult novel, SHOW ME A SIGN (OakTara), Susan has published short stories in three anthologies: FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOU (OakTara); THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS: WITH A FOREWORD BY DEBBIE MACOMBER(St. Martin's Press); and MISSING (Echelon Press). She is currently working on the HEALER trilogy for young adults. Susan is a longtime member of Willow Creek Community Church and the American Christian Fiction Writers. She enjoys photography, cooking and travel, and incorporates all three into her books.
