This review is also available on my blog, Bows & Bullets Reviews Imogen Rockford's teenage life is very different than her childhood one was. After her parent's death, she was ushered away to live with her new guardians and live a typical New York life. She was haunted by her parents death, but she ...
“’There’s something hidden in the maze.’ Seventeen-year-old Imogen Rockford has never forgotten the last words her father said to her, before the blazing fire that consumed him, her mother, and the gardens of her family’s English country manor. For seven years, images of her parents’ death have ...
i'm not 100% sure how to review this one. i want to say nice things because the writing itself was actually alright: maybe a bit too flowery at times, but it wasn't bad. however, all of the parts of this book that i didn't like were glaringly obvious and i just can't ignore them in favor of trying t...
After reading the blurb, I expected this book to be a thrilling, strange retelling of Rebecca, with a strong focus on romance. This book did not live up to those expectations.I had a really hard time connecting with the characters, and the chemistry between characters was horrible. There was no spar...

When a fire took the lives of her parents, uncle, and aunt, sh...

I won't even attempt to deny that my choice to read this was a serious case of cover lust. In fact, I only...
Hmmm, I loved Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier, but I have some trepidation about this book. Most new spins on classic tales just ends up becoming a pale relection of the original story. I'll check it out anyway since it could turn out to be a diamond in the rough!
