Another relisten for me. This book has a different narrator than the rest of the series. I have no idea why, as they go back to the original for the next book. I don't mind this narrator. She didn't do a bad job, I just don't like it when they change narrators in the middle of a series, especial...

I re-read the Merry Gentry series during the summer. I had read it for the first time some time in 2007 or 2008, before the last two books were out. There are elements I like in this series - why else would I re-read it? The way Merry isn't a pampered fairy princess, but someone who tries to make...

The tags Sex, Faerie and Politics almost say it all. Merry has escaped her uncle, who now claims fatherhood of her twins (even though Merry KNOWS who is the father). Lots of "schooling" from Merry, but just as much action and fantastic magic.

Doing a re-read of the series in audio
Title and Statement of Responsibility
V. good by modern Hamilton standards. A lot of plot and little hanky-panky. It seemed like this book might actually be the end of this series, which would be a shame. Maybe life isn't as interesting when the protagonist is actually pregnant.

Audiobook - I've heared some pretty horrible things about this narrator Claudia Black but I actually like her a lot. She does the American and Southern American male voices great. It wasn't strange to hear Princess Meredith with a British accent either. I thought Claudia Black was Australian, so ...

I'm so glad I finally finished this book - now I can get it out of my apartment. I really shouldn't check out any more of Hamilton's books, although I'm sure I will anyway. But, who knows, maybe I won't - I think I might be to the point where I don't really care how the Meredith Gentry series ends o...
