Deeply, deeply weird, and completely fascinating. Orange mostly has things done to him, rather than does things, which slows down the middle section some, but it comes together in the end.
In the first page or two of this book, I knew it would either be fabulous or awful. The playful language could have gone either way; I would either sink into the voice or feel put off by it. Fortunately, by the third or fourth page I'd forgotten all about the style, and curiosity about this odd Ora...
