Another great book by John Grisham. It kept my interest right until the end. I especially liked the end because it gave FULL closure to all open questions that came up throughout the book. If you like John Grisham's writing, you will love this book. One of his best to date.
I enjoyed this story, and I haven't read its predecessor, A Time to Kill. Jake Brigance is one of the most likeable protagonists I've read in some time. Who would have suspected one could make a legal suspense novel from a probate case? I saw the end coming from a mile away, but the journey getting ...
This is a great book to listen to with a partner instead of watching TV. Good fiction illuminates good truths, and a good book by Grisham is more entertaining than TV.Grisham, who probably turned me on to Audible books more than any other author, used to write the most spellbinding stories of all fi...
Sycamore Row by John GrishamAttorney has been hired. Seth is dying and has left a hand written will then hangs himself from the tree. There were other wills over the years and the children and other family members have been written out of the will. There will be a huge trial as a judge and jury deci...
Even though the plot revolves around a contested will case there is still plenty of suspense which, added to some great characters and the Ford County setting, made this an audio book worth the listening time. The narration was done by Michael Beck who did a wonderful job with the southern accents.
I was pretty excited when I bought this book as a gift for my husband, who is a huge John Grisham fan. When I saw the word sequel to “A Time To Kill” I got so worked up that I did not even bother to read the synopsis, nor read book reviews from the net, which I usually do before I purchase any book…...
I've read most of John Grisham's early books, but somewhere around The Brothern and The King of Torts I got bored. Sycamore Row is a winner, and I think it might be time to check out some of the newer stuff I think I missed.
When I begin a Grisham book, I often think, OK, here is another made for TV movie in progress, but this one is actually made for the big screen! Written for popular consumption, this book is an exciting page turner which will really engage the reader. I stayed up half the night to finish it. The leg...

John Grisham returns to the Clanton Courthouse of A TIME TO KILL and his hero Jake Brigance to bring a story of money, family dysfunction, racism, and legal maneuvering. Seth Hubbard has died – by suicide – leaving behind two conflicting wills, a black maid, two disgruntled children, four apathetic ...
