Sydney Barbara Metrick is the author of The Art of Ritual : Creating and Performing Ceremonies for Growth and Change (with Renee Beck),I Do: A Guide to Creating Your Own Unique Wedding Ceremony, and Crossing the Bridge: Creating Ceremonies for Grieving and Healing from Life's Losses (all currently published by Apocryphile Press). Most recently, she was invited to "update" and "Americanize" the book Rituals for Life, Love and Loss, originally written by Australian writer, Dorothy McRae McMahon.For over twenty five years, Dr. Metrick has worked with individuals, couples and groups to support or celebrate various changes, both sought and unsought, in the circle of life. Her interest in the arts led her to pursue a graduate degree in expressive arts therapy. She was introduced to coaching in graduate school and was impressed with the solution-orientation.
