Ghost of You (Phantoms #3) by Kelly Moran
Ghost of You - Kelly Moran

And she's done it again! Kelly Moran has weaved a tale so captivating she had me laughing periodically, then sobbing into my pillow at 4:30AM. I kept promising myself one more chapter until i couldn't see straight and called it quits for the night.

Sammy believes herself to be weak, has major trust issues and enough trouble in her life to damage anyone. But she's such a strong character and i admired the hell out of her. Her attitude towards Cain made my stomach ache from laughing too much, they make a beautiful pair.

Cain, oh lovely Cain *sigh* My heart bled for him, i just wanted to put my arms round him, squeeze and never let go. Perfection, that's the first word to come to mind when i think about Cain. Having suffered great pain at an early age he doesn't give up, he keeps searching for that something to make him whole again. And he doesn't half find it.

Ghost of You is darker than the others in the series, i think. The place they go, the history surrounding it, the ghostly inhabitants. Add them all together and they gave me a major case of goosebumps.

I finished this book a few hours ago now and i still cant stop thinking about it. Its one of the ones that stick to you like glue, such a heart-breakingly beautiful story. By far my favourite couple in the Phantoms series.

Give Up the Ghost (Phantoms #2) by Kelly Moran
Give Up the Ghost - Kelly Moran

I absolutely loved Jackson and Avas’ story. I’ve never really been into ghost stories or anything of the sort but, Oh My! Kelly Morans’ writing is just magical. And this series just keeps getting better.

My first thought was poor Paul, what an amazing character he is. I totally fell in love with him from almost the very beginning. Then again, i think anyone who reads this book will too (and you totally should, It's AWESOME).

Kerry is such a strong character throughout most of the book. She has her moments of doubt, but who doesn’t? She’s not just beautiful on the outside, Kerry has got the whole package. Lovely on the inside as well as out. Always putting others before herself. I loved her too <3

Paul and Kerry make a dynamic couple. They have a lot to sort out but i prayed they’d get through it and come out the other end smiling. As usual, Moran writes a fantastic story that i just couldn’t get enough of.

Still loved all the other characters from the Phantoms group. The new man was a great addition and i can’t wait to see what else he brings to the team. #FLOVE

I promise you wont be disappointed in this series. If you haven’t read them yet, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

Review: Sinful Intent (Alfa PI #1) by Chelle Bliss
Sinful Intent (ALFA PI) (Volume 1) - Chelle Bliss
Chelle Bliss is awesome! It’s been a few days since I finished Sinful Intent. I had to sit on my review for a while because all I could think upon finishing it was WOW, OMG, WOW, HOLY F*#K. You get my drift?

Chelle is a really talented author. She pulls you into her story and literally drags the emotions out of you right alongside her characters. I laughed, snorted hysterically, cried, melted, swooned and all out loved this book! If you haven’t read it yet, what the hell are you waiting for?

Race True is my kind of woman. She’s strong, determined, sassy, beautiful and stubborn. She’s having a rough time but she refuses to let it bring her down. Her determination to get through it is admirable. I’m definitely #TeamRace.

Morgan made me weak at the knees with his alpha mambo jumbo but at times I wanted to punch him. Although he’s smart, loyal, protective, gorgeous and swoon worthy his way of going about certain things leaves something to be desired. But that’s what made it all the more fun.

If you love action packed stories with a sexy alpha male and a strong headed heroine then this book is for you. I can’t wait for the release of Unlawful Desire!

Review: Return to Me (Covington Cove #1) by Kelly Moran
Return to Me - Kelly Moran
Military romances are a big love for me. My step dad is in the army and has done tours in places such as Afghanistan and Iraq. Sometimes, the mental injuries far outweigh the physical. PTSD is so common for soldiers and it makes my heart bleed. I have a big respect for people in the forces, our heroes.

Return to Me is a great book; from the first page I was hooked, right up until the last. Moran has a way with words, she catapults us straight into the story with her characters. Her writing is truly amazing and she is, and always will be one of my favourite authors.

Cole is so much more than he seems and I love how we get the past woven in with the present. It helps to understand the reasoning behind their emotions and just pulls us in all the more. Personally, I think his scars just add to his beauty; both physical and mental. The guilt he’s carried for 10 years has only festered and grew. Watching him learn to deal with it and forgive himself is something special. I just loved him, even though at times he deserved a smack to the head.

Mia spent 10 years of her life hating Cole, believing he’d thrown her out like yesterday’s trash. For her to agree to the job as his private nurse, whatever the reasoning was brave and smart. I really liked her character. She’s beautiful inside and out. Her profession suits her perfectly and she does her job well.

For those of you who haven’t read any of Kelly Moran’s work I can’t recommend them enough. The Dysfunctional Test and her phantoms series are both in my favourite pile. Don’t miss out on all the juicy goodness she has to offer!!

3.5 stars - Garden of Dreams & Desires by Kristen Painter
Garden of Dreams and Desires (Crescent City) - Kristen Painter

I really wish Crescent City would've been a series instead of a trilogy because I definitely wanted more of Augustine and Harlow.  I felt like I was just getting close to them and now they've been ripped from me.  =*(  I'm going to miss my sexy smoky Guardian and his adorable computer genius sidekick.

Garden of Dreams & Desires picks up where Kristen Painter left the characters off at in the previous book. Yes…I was one of those readers that didn't handle the cliffhanger well.  Seriously, how would you react to an evil spirit taking over the female lead like that?  I couldn't. I was shocked with the ending. Kristen threw me in a loop after the second book, so I was anxious to read the last book in the trilogy. Of course, Kristen has to throw in another loop with the evil spirit and what it's evil plans are. Ahhhh!!!  There's also the issue of what is happening in NOLA with the Fae and the humans.  The Guardian has his work cut out for him, especially with an important person gone missing and the Fae being held accountable for it. Augustine will do anything to find out what really happened. He gets put into situations that I'm surprised he survived in.

Let's not forget the crazy witches.  Yup… I said it the crazy witches.  They have a BIGGER plan that is going to change everything in NOLA.  The Fae and everyone that gets in the way of the witches will be in trouble. I really didn't like the witches.  Grrr!

I won't go into anymore details of the story because I'm afraid I'll give something away and I hate spoilers.

What I liked most about this book is how Harlow grew into a stronger character in this one.  Don't get me wrong, I was mad what she did in the previous book, but she made up for it in this book.  She still made iffy decisions, but she made up for it, darn it!

Augustine finally became a changed guy and realized what he wanted.  He became a stronger Guardian too in this book.  Although, he got caught up in certain things that prevented him on doing what he was supposed to.

I also enjoyed how the evil spirit was handled. I was hoping it would end the way it did.

The only things that did bother me was how fast everything went and how much was put in such a small portion.  This book could have been easily broke into two books to tell the story, but I understand why it couldn't be. I just wish I could know exactly what happened to the bad guys in the story fully. They deserved a lot more coming to them, after what they did.  Grrrr!!  I also would've loved to find out what happens to certain secondary characters.  Cy being one of them.  ****hint, hint***  =)

Thank goodness for Kristen writing another series though, after this one because her next characters should fill that gap I have of losing Augustine and Harlow so soon.  Don't get me wrong I enjoyed reading the last book in the trilogy, but I'm going to miss these characters.  I was just getting to know them.  =*(

I give this book 3.5 stars and I do recommend it to Urban Fantasy readers out there and readers that enjoyed Kristen Painter's other UF series, House of Comarre.

Although, this is not my favorite of the trilogy, I still enjoyed reading how it all ended.  Seriously...I'm really going to miss Auggie…my sexy smoky Guardian.
