Great Story and Characters
Cin Wikkid: April Fools For Love - Mary Hughes

Cin was studying to get her accounting degree and she was failing her tax accounting tax then she got a tutor Rafe on line. Prince Industries was having a ball As Gideon had to be married by his 24th birthday The ball was so Gideon could choose a bride as he was heir to Prince Industries. The ball was to be April first which wasn’t too far away. The had been an invitation in the newspaper for every single woman could attend. As long as Cin graduated she hoped to be an intern at Prince Industries. As Time goes on Cin’s tutor Rafe takes a more personal tone when texting her. He also seems to know what was on her mind as if he could read it. Cin is starting to care a lot for Rafe.

I always loved the Cinderella story and most stories with that plot. This was no different well written of course good plot but there was also unexpected things that happens throughout the story but it was all for the good. I adored the characters especially Cin and all the twists and turns she goes through. Also the story has a lot of twists and turns like how Cin worried about helping her step sister so she could graduate also Cin saying no.A great twist on a old wonderful fairy  tale. I loved it. I highly recommend.

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

Cin Wikkid: April Fools For Love
Cin Wikkid: April Fools For Love - Mary Hughes I received an eARC, from NetGalley and the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.
This was a very fun, semi-clean read that did a spin on the Cinderella story.
Cin father remarried and along with that marriage came step-sisters. Which they never got along and her father was always working so much was missed by him. Later her father dies leaving they needing money. Cin Step-mom pretty much locked her up in the attic until Cin was able to convince her that she could get a job and earn money. Then Cin slowly starts to work toward get a education and becoming something. Cin online class she end up meeting Rafe. Rafe is to help her with learning more so that she can get a job at Prince Industries. Cin doesn't know he is really Gideon Prince, head of Prince Industries. Cin starts to meet Rafe for tutoring and he starts trying to talk her into going to the Prince Industries to try to win the "Prince" who is to pick a wife at the ball. Cin is confused as she thought they were hitting it off.. now he wants her to try to marry someone else.

April Fools. Fitting.
April Fools - Karli Perrin

Before I even get into this review, it must be said that this is the 2nd book in this series, so if you haven't read that, skip this..

So, April Fools. I kind of wish that the title could be taken literally. I was not impressed by this book, but I didn't absolutely despise it either.

I liked the first book, April Showers.  It covered the student/teacher, love triangle, and psycho ex(ish), and a cliffy all in one book.  It wasn't anything to write home to mom about, but it was a easy and somewhat entertaining read.  April Fools was just an easy read.  There just wasn't anything to it. Yeah, it had some funny banter, but even if I did laugh out loud a few times, that doesn't cover the fact that this book lacked a shit ton of plot. I need a little more plot with my smut, thank you.

Here, let me give you a brief synopsis of the entire book.

Oh, good I'm glad he survived. Let's go have sex. And more sex. And a little more sex. Yay, my brother!  A little more sex.  Psycho ex. Brother and flatmate hook up!  More sex.   Banter, banter, banter. Psycho ex blackmail. Psycho ex gets arrested (saw that coming all the way from the States). More sex. Set up for another book. Happily Ever After.

And that's all folks.

Yeah, so overall if you want something to kill an hour and a half (literally) with some amusing banter and not much else, this is the book for you.

April Fools
April Fools - Karli Perrin This review may contain spoilers, but only very tiny ones

Stars: 4/5

I really enjoyed this book. The story of April continues and how!
This book was a great follow up [b:April Showers|17831683|April Showers (April, #1)|Karli Perrin|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1370082868s/17831683.jpg|24948299].

We continue a little bit after the last book ended. It starts with finding out who got hurt in the horrible fire at her house and April staying over at Isaac. I won't give anymore away from the plot, since I don't want to ruin the story for anyone.

I really like April, she's not a pushover and doesn't let Isaac get away with things he shouldn't get away with. She's smart and sassy and a great main character. I also really like her group of friends and Isaac. I also really ended up liking Brody and their banter.

The writing is good, to the point and funny. Karli Perrin knows how to write fun and likeable characters - that you'll just want to keep reading about.

I like the setting, the fact that it's a book not set in America for once and that it's just different from most new adult books, because it doesn't involve the same storylines and drama plots that they somehow all contain. This book was fresh and I liked that April and Isaac were very consistent throughout the story.

The thing that I didn't like about this story, is that I wasn't ready to stop reading about these characters when the book was over. The book just isn't long enough and does feel a bit too fast paced.

I'm hoping for a spin-off on Brody and lucy! It felt like they have a good story potential.

April Fools
April Fools - Karli Perrin This book was fantastic. Karli is such a good writer. She is now in my tops 3 favourite authors.

I was easily drawn back in to April’s world like I had just left her yesterday and I couldn’t have been happier to be back.

I thought Brody was the best brother. He was protective but he also knew what was best for April

Lucy became a really great friend, in this book. I really like her and I seriously wanted Lucy and Brody to be together. I thought they made a really great couple.

Oh I hate Abbie. She is a self centred green eyed bitch. She is clearly used to getting what ever she wants. I thought she got what she deserved.

I was so happy that April and Lukas could still be friends. They clearly had a special relationship and it would have been sad to see them hating each other.

This was an excellent conclusion to the story but I wish it could go on forever. I am really sad that its the end of her story and there will be no more Issac. and April obviously…

I really loved the epilogue and thought the last few pages were the sweetest.

I love how Karli writing is witty, romantic and in some parts very steamy. I cannot wait to see what’s to come from her next.
