Two wonderful authors of stories for children now gone. I loved Charlotte Zolotow's sensitive books when I was young because she seemed to remember very well the feelings of being a child.
And as a tutor I've used Barbara Park's funny, delightful Junie B. Jones series to entice reluctant readers onto the page.
