Boone Brux went with the obvious approach. Properly Groomed is a theme every romance reader is familiar with, but still can't get enough of. The exotic animal and the unusual dog were a nice touch. Comfort, laughter and happily every after are all there for me to enjoy in Ms. Brux's stories.

Roxy was the bride to be , Kyle was her fiance. Kinni was her good friend and a bridesmaid and had done alot of work on the wedding to make it great for Roxy. Roxy and Kinni were having something to eat together and Roxy said she wanted to give Kinni a gift, a wedding favor. Kinni had only had one real relationship and it just didn’t work out. Kinni was very organized and responsible and that had drove her ex boyfriend crazy but she had to be who she was. Now Roxy’s gift was she wanted Kinni to relax and have some fun.Roxy really appreciated all Kinni had done for the wedding. Price had been one of the group Kinni was pulled into when she became friends with Roxy in college. He was quiet the womanizer and Kinni didn’t really know him that well. He had heard Roxy talking to Kinni as he was a groomsman and he decided to use the gift to his advantage he wanted to get to know Kinni and see her loosen up.

This was a great quick read. I really enjoyed it alot. I predicted some of the story but that didn’t seem to take away from the story for me. The plot and writing were both good. I adored the characters. I laughed at some parts of this story and choked a little in some parts also. I also loved to see Kinni unwind and have fun and enjoy herself. I loved the ins and outs of this story. I recommend.

I think an entire chapter of booze-fueled sex in the beginning kinda blew things for me. Some amusing moments, but not enough to keep me interested.

ARC Review: Random Acts of Marriage (Wedding Favors) By Boone Brux

Kinni is a tad overzealous. Okay, who am I kidding she's a neurotic control freak. She color coordinates, her planner. That's a red flag! She may be wound a little tight but she feels deeply and wounds easily. At first introduction, I knew she would be a irresistible character. Boone Brux brings a comedic flair to the table with Random Acts of Marriage. The concept of a friendly intervention and opposites connecting brings a smile whenever I think about it. Kinni is a planner without a plan, Price is a fly by the seat of the pants type of guy. He lives by the motto: "Active now, plan later." Can he convert uptight Kinni over to his spontaneous point of view? Ms. Brux brought the funny and mixed in the honey. Another new author to add to my growing list of favorites.

Jamie and Dani were friends for five years and decided to take the next step and dated for nine month. Then last year on New Years Eve Dani tells Jamie she loves him. Two days later he moves to Florida.   Later on down the road Dani is to be maid of honor at her best friend’s Roxy’s wedding. Then she finds out Jamie is to be the best man for Kyle- Roxy’s fiance. Roxy asks Dani to distract Jamie during the wedding.

I like this story. I wasn’t to happy with Jamie and how he hurt Dani and doesn’t really matter why. Then he wonders if he did the right thing leaving Dani - make up your mind. But I did understand his fear of her feelings so I did finish this story and did end up liking it a lot. I like the characters especially Dani and all she and Jamie went through. I recommend.
