Rockstars, Babies and Happily Ever Afters
Rockstars, Babies and Happily Ever After... Rockstars, Babies and Happily Ever Afters - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott Is it Christmas again already? Because I feel like I've been given a beautifully wrapped gift, one that had all kinds of goodies in multiple boxes.

There were bonuses, alternate POVs, epilogues, and prologues for several of their series', including for most of the Oblivion-verse characters. I was also delighted to see a non-rocker thrown in for good measure.

They took me back into the past, a little bit of present-day, and even some teases of what's to come. Talk about timey-wimey!

Honestly, I don't want to give away a lot of the story stuff for those of you that haven't read the bonus material, because it's so great to discover it for the first time when you read it here - I'll just say how awesome it is to revisit these characters that I love so much.

Sometimes, I have a difficult time remembering characters from a series after being away for a while, but never with Cari and Taryn's guys and gals. They stick.

There's absolutely no hesitation, I give Rockstars, Babies and Happily Ever Afters five rockin' dad bod stars.

Manster
Manster - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott Manster - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott

These ladies slay me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The whole Oblivion-verse is just so real to me, and every time I start one of these books, I know I'm in for a TREAT.

I'll start my review by talking about the main characters.

We got a nice taste (oh how I WISH, amirite?) of Hudson Wyatt in Manipulated, and I was one-hundred-percent ready to read more about him by the end of that book. I didn't expect full-on Wyatt attitude. And he was throwing it from PAGE EFFING ONE. Instead of only seeing the charming and affable side of him, we get to see the jerky, demanding, coffee-hoarding, broody drummer.

I pulled her hand away. “It’s not about me tonight.” I led her back to the couch. “In fact, let’s just take away that temptation.”
I sat down and pulled her onto my lap. If I couldn’t see all her curves, then maybe I could make it through this final exam.
Maybe.

Meanwhile, we meet Piper. Owner of the Pussy Palace. It's totally NOT what you're thinking. She and Callie, Owen's very pregnant wife, are good friends, and Piper is closing down her cat cafe to host Callie's baby shower. It's an "all hands on deck" type shower, so guys and girls alike are there - to Wyatt's ultimate chagrin. Piper takes everything in stride though. Even when she has a demanding jerk to deal with, she still manages to make sure all the other attendees are taken care of, and she's a perfect hostess.

Wyatt would like to think he's sticking around for the coffee, and then Piper lays him flat with a request that went from zero to sixty in nothing flat. She wants to know how to flirt, and maybe more. From what he's seen, it looks like quite a bit more. Fork-flying, cat-scratching, coffee-pressing more.

Are you twisting your hair as you try to figure out how to reply about sexting? Or are you nibbling on that delectable mouth of yours?

Yes, this is a rom-com - hate to love essentially (which is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE), but there are some angsty parts. That only enhances the story as far as I'm concerned. There are also some tie-ins to the other Oblivion-verse titles, including a bit at the end that had me a little choked up BECAUSE HOW COULD YOU!?! ahem, I mean, I was reminded of the ending of another book that was very emotional. *wink*

So for reals, I give this one FIVE stuffed baby giraffe stars. FIVE!!!

Perfect Pitch
Perfect Pitch - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott Perfect Pitch - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott

I had to take a few days to let this book sink in. Why? Because this is not your average Rocker Romance. Oh no. Cari and Taryn have elevated this to a whole new level. And I'll tell you right now, it doesn't end here.

I can't get much into that BECAUSE SPOILERS AND I SO HATE YOU GUYS *ahem*. But let's just say that it ends on a cliffhanger.

We'll instead talk about the main story.

Luc has been trouble for his band 'The Grunge' for years. It's just terrible timing however, when Dex announces they're dumping him, and the perky blonde singer from 'Warning Sign' walks by and demands an audition to replace him. He just wishes that they hadn't sounded so amazing together - because now they're stuck co-leading her band, and neither of them can deny how much they sizzle.

Then there's Ethan. Molly's dirty Professor. He kept showing up everywhere, including Denver & Ryan's wedding. He'd become one of Walking Sign's extended family, and it was becoming impossible to ignore him. She was already in that "wedding" headspace - wistful about all of her friends belonging to someone - and he jumped on that mood like... well, like a Professor on a houndstooth jacket.

After her encounters with Ethan at the wedding, and Luc when they sang together, she was utterly dizzy. Then the three of them came together at the same time, and Ethan made it perfectly clear that he'd be open to having some fun with both Molly and Luc.

Molly knew triads worked, she saw it daily between Lauren, Randy, and West - but was that kind of thing for her? She definitely wanted both men, but did she want both men? She had enough on her plate with Lila Shawcross on her case, and now having to share HER band with Luc himself.... Did she need the extra drama?

Maybe they could keep things casual. Maybe they could make the co-lead singer thing work. Maybe Ethan wasn't a distraction. Lots of maybes, lots of complications, lots of other things that come with falling for the last people you thought you would.

--------------------
In my opinion, this is the best 'Oblivion' book yet - and that's saying something. I've been with them from the very beginning. You're gonna need some kleenex by the time you're done, and also be ready to wait a little bit for a resolution to the story that simmers in the background.

This book gets five "dancing in lingerie" stars.

Manhandled By Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott Free!
Manhandled: a Rockstar Romantic Comedy (Hammered Book 2) - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott

My name is Faith Keystone, but my friends call me Keys.
I’m the piano player for Hammered.

Did I mention I'm the only female in my band?

That means I technically have five older brothers.

Can't forget my manager and security team, too.

Alone time is nonexistent.

I escaped an overbearing family to join this happy circus, and most of the time it's awesome.

Except now, because of one teensy little incident at a show.

Now I have this hulking bodyguard shadowing me like a freaking puppy.

Only this puppy is more like a Doberman with an attitude problem.

And he only knows one word—NO.

I hate that word.

And I hate Quinn Alexander.

The one thing I do like is giving him the slip. Is it wrong that I kinda like when he growls at me after he finds me?

Because he always finds me.

Adult Reading
Triple Trouble (Found in Oblivion Book 2) - Cari Quinn,Taryn Elliott

Triple Trouble by Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott is a great read.  This is however, a menage story with explicit sex scenes, so it may not be for everyone.  This is a well-written book loaded with fantastic characters.  Randy, Juliet and Tristan's story is loaded with drama, humor and sizzle.  I enjoyed reading Triple Trouble and look forward to reading more from Cari Quinn and Taryn Elliott in the future.  Triple Trouble is book 2 of the Found In Oblivion Series but can be read as a standalone.  This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
