For Seven Nights Only
For Seven Nights Only (Chase Brothers) - Sarah Ballance

Kelsie is the maid of honor at her sister's wedding and she desperately doesn't want to go alone (the best man is her ex and the groom's brother). Sawyer is an upstairs neighbor with an revolving door of women. They come to an agreement that he will help her land a date to the wedding.
Firstly, who invites a blind date- someone they have NEVER met to their home?! They've conversed online only. Yeah, no, that was stupid. I was ambivalent about Kelsie (aside from inviting a stranger to her home). I outright didn't like Sawyer. He was a man-whore who get jealous whenever Kelsie would talk to another guy. That was the whole point of taking her under his wing. But, wait! Kelsie is different!! I think what drew Sawyer to Kelsie was she didn't fall at his feet. I just couldn't get into the romance.

Making Chase (The Chase Brothers, Book 4) by Dane, Lauren (2008) Paperback - Lauren Dane

Tate sat at her station at the hair salon, she and her two younger sisters - Anne and Beth- owned owned Murphy’s Cut and Curl. Tate and Anne bought a run down old house at the far end of Main Street remodeled it with their family’s help into a hair salon. Tate was watching out the window and then she see Matt Chase across the street who was her visual donut. Tate was attracted to Matt who was a fireman who was a very attractive hot man. Matt was seeing Melanie but she was vacant and he wanted what his brothers had a good woman, a family f their own- happy. Natt was just waiting for the right woman.  Tate had been accidently pushed into the street when some HS boys rushed to get back to school. Tate got hit and Matt came out to assist her until the ambulance got there. Tate had 4 stitches in her head. Tate did Matt’s mom's-Polly- hair at the salon. Tate wished she and her siblings had a mom like Polly instead of Tina the mother they got. Polly doted on her kids Tate loved that. Many times in her life her siblings made Tate feel better. .Tate was good at three things- doing hair, cooking and dancing. Tate was so good at cooking even as adults her siblings could be found at her table. Any given day of the week. Tate had a full life with her family and business but she wanted a man to come home to and her own children. Would a man ever want the whole package - she was a big girl, she also had seven siblings and they were all involved and two sister -in-laws and their children and they were all involved with each others lives. Tate didn’t have many friends she wasn’t related to. Tate made some cookies and sent them over to Matt for his help when she had been hit by the car. Matt loved them and he could count on his hand the number of times he had been helped for what he did it was nice to be acknowledged and thanked. Matt saw the address on the package and saw it was the hair salon across the road. He decided to go over when he was done with work to thank Tate.in person. Matt liked tate really liked her. They had lunch while sitting on a bench several times a week together. Liv told Matt if he really wanted something with Tate he would really have to work so she really have to work so she would let him in. Tate had been hurt a lot because where she was from and people will say she ais after Matt’s money and name and Liv wanted to warn him. Tate wasn’t the usual type of girl Matt went out with- cheerleader, rich and gorgeous.  But Tate had her own neaty and she was a wonderful, kind, and caring person. To Matt she was beautiful in every way.

I really loved this story. It was a fast easy read that pulled at your emotions romance.that lacked nothing as far as I am concerned. At times I chuckled while reading this and others I really choked up. I felt like I was there with Tate and Matt and everyone. I loved the pace and the plot. I read this book in one setting as I couldn’t put it down.  The author did a great job on the mental and physical abuse shown in this book. I loved how close Tate was to her family and they to her and despite their upbringing and being poor and their parents how well Tate and her siblings all turned out. I could not find anything to criticize in this book and I was so happy about that. I loved Tate and Matt together and how they interacted with each other. I loved the character and the ins and outs of this book and I highly recommend it.

great book and great characters
Chased (The Chase Brothers, Book 3) Paperback - September 1, 2007 - Lauren Dane

Liv was being picked up by her friend Cassie and Maggie to go to Polly and Edwards fortieth wedding anniversary party. Liv had been crying and told her friends Brody had cheated on her with Lyndsay Cole, Liv had walked in on them in Brody’s apartment as she had got off work early and had brought brody some dinner. All Liv wanted was someone she could trust  someone she could come home to at the end of the day and share her life with. She wanted to be in love, and get married and have kids not tomorrow but someday. Marc claimed a dance with Liv at his parents party and he thought about how good it felt to have her body next to his. Marc had wanted to kiss liv pretty badly but his father cut in. Marc did kiss Liv at the Founder Day’s picnic even if she was there on a a date with another man.Liv told Marc she wanted someone who was looking for toward marriage and permanency. Marc dated everyone he could think of for the next month but none of them got Liv out of his thoughts finally Marc called Liv. No man had ever made Liv speechless but Marc did and he pushed every button and Liv wasn’t sure why or how. Marc had set out to woo her and he was.

I loved this book, it was a quick fun romantic read. I now have a new romantic read to put in my favorites group. I loved how sweet Liv was and I loved her and Marc together. I also loved how Marc’s family had already accepted and loved Liv when she had dated Marc’s older brother Matt but it hadn’t worked Matt hadn’t been ready to settle down but the remained the best of friends. When Matt saw Marc really wanted a long term relationship with Liv he was all for it. I felt so bad when Liv saw Marc with his ex. I felt like I was there with everyone and that is special when an author can transport you inside her story. I loved how Marc showed up in Atlanta and made Liv agree to spend two days and face herself and he also faced himself and were totally honest with each other and opened to each other. Just an overall great book and I happily I could happily find nothing to criticize. I love the characters and the ins and outs and I highly recommend.

Review: Chase Me by Farrah Rochon
Chase Me (The Holmes Brothers Book 4) - Farrah Rochon

Indina Holmes has no need, nor any desire, for a relationship in her busy, successful life. After being burned badly in the past, she’s good maintaining her bedroom-only relationship with co-worker Griffin Sims. But when she takes Griffin on her family reunion cruise, messy feelings start to emerge, and Indina doesn’t know how to process.

Griffin Sims has enjoyed sharing his bed with Indina for the better part of a year, but lately, he wants more. Afraid to push, he seizes the opportunity to get closer to her when she invites him away for the weekend. Being around her family not only solidifies Griffin’s desire to make Indina his, but also opens up wounds surrounding his own family.

Chase Me was an enjoyable, easy read. With a cruise and family fun as the backdrop, I felt like I was on my own mini-vacation. And although this is the fourth book in the Holmes Brothers series, the romance was standalone, and there is a reboot feeling to the story as the author focuses on another part of the Holmes’ family. While I never felt like I missed out not having read the first three titles, I do think reading the books would have helped me keep straight the large number of characters in Indina’s life and family.

Indina is a great heroine! First… she’s forty-two years old! I love that she’s made her way and is living her life on her own terms. She doesn’t express regret that she’s not married with kids, rather, she enjoys her life as Auntie, surrounded by her family and friends. Yet, she’s strong and secure enough to question her life, but not her life’s choices, as messy feelings emerge after spending time outside the bedroom with Griffin.

Meanwhile Griffin won my heart right from the start. He so wants more with Indina, but won’t push her. He’s such a good guy, and I want him to succeed. His strong sense of himself drew me in, and my heart cracked as Griffin realized he couldn’t continue with the status quo because of his feelings for Indina. I also loved the side story involving his family.

Overall, Chase Me is a delightful, feel-good romance. Other than some slight repetition with Indina's relationship fears, the story was well told. I liked that both Griffin and Indina had baggage, and while it caused problems, it didn't feel contrived. The hurt each experienced was tangible. Their built-in history gave the relationship more weight right from the get go. I love the strong successful heroine who needs things on her terms. The romance is standalone; however, the author planted the seeds for future titles, getting me excited for more.

My Rating:  B+ Liked It A Lot
